What Opportunities are Available?

Grace Church is incredibly thankful to our many volunteers who serve our church body. Below is a list of our current volunteer needs. Scroll down to view a full list of all of our volunteer teams. See an area that interests you? Contact us for more information on how to get involved.

Children’s Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry aims to serve children and families by building community and teaching the love and hope of Jesus Christ. If you are interested in volunteering with the Children’s Ministry, please contact our children’s director Heather Hoppin (heatherhoppin@gmail.com) for more information.

  • Gracelittles: Nursery
    Providing a safe and welcoming environment for parents, infants and toddlers (ages 6 months – 3 years) during worship services and special events when relevant.
  • Gracekids: Children’s Church
    During the sermon children ages 3 years through 9 years attend Children’s Church to prepare them for worship in the adult services. Children’s Church focuses on theological understanding, worship, and offers opportunities for children of different ages to be in community together.
  • Gracekids: Sunday School
    During the Sunday school hour (9:15 – 10:20am), children ages 4 years through 5th grade attend Sunday School classes that serve children through fostering a saving relationship with Christ, an understanding of the Bible, fellowship, service, prayer, and worship.
  • Special Events
    Children’s Ministry facilitates special events specific to serving families and children, fostering community, and serving the needs of families in the city.

Church Life

Church Life is a ministry that seeks to spur church attendees on toward deeper community. Through a variety of events, Church Life creates opportunities which bring people together and engage them in the life of the church. Our vision for these gatherings is to create and foster relationships that encourage people to use their individual gifts to support one another, as well as the church as a whole.

  • Event Planning
    Helping the people of Grace Church to connect with each other, form relationships, and build community through planning church-wide social events. To get involved, contact Stephanie Mikkelsen (admin@gracefortcollins.org)
  • Grace Groups
    Grace Groups exist to strengthen the whole body of Grace Church by the building up and growing deep in authentic community through gospel fellowship, Bible study, prayer and mission. If you are interested in leading a Grace Group, contact Ryan Hughs (ryan@gracefortcollins.org).
  • Meals Ministry
    When life takes an unexpected turn or becomes very stressful a meal from a friend is very encouraging. This ministry is designed to help people during difficult times such as the birth of a child, an illness, a death or other life crises.You don’t have to know how to cook in order to volunteer. You just have to be willing to prepare or purchase a portable, healthy meal and take it to a family in need. This is a wonderfully simple, heartfelt, and necessary ministry. Sunday Operations

  • Sermon Passage Readers
    Read the Scripture passage before the sermon during our Worship Services. To volunteer, please contact Glenn Nelson (glennmail97@gmail.com).
  • Greeters
    Help people feel welcome, at ease, and part of the Grace Church community. To volunteer, please contact Stephanie Mikkelsen (admin@gracefortcollins.org).
  • Facilities
    Help with set-up, tear-down and cleanliness on Sunday mornings and during special events. Assist in the passing of the offering plate. For more information, contact Jeff Clements (720-220-7955; Jeff.R.Clements@gmail.com).

Youth Ministry

Our Youth Ministry seeks to engage young adults in 6th-12th grade in exploring the Christian faith in the context of community, friends, and fun. If you are interest in volunteering with the Youth Group, please contact our youth director Abby Mattson (youth@gracefortcollins.org) for more information.

RUF College Ministry

RUF (Reformed University Fellowship) College Ministry seeks to build a community on the college campus that reaches students of divergent beliefs and doubts with the message of the gospel and equips them to love and serve Jesus and his Church. Music Ministry

  • Musicians & Vocalists
